During the Roaring Twenties, French Cancan dancers in the famous cabarets of Paris perfumed themselves through very particular rituals. They were said to perfume ‘every hill and every valley’ – wherever they wanted to be kissed. Hauto (leather) is an invitation to experience the scent of ‘leather’.
