One of my grandmother’s favourite desserts, the Neapolitan pastiera is one of the most traditional symbols of the beautiful city of Naples.
She promised herself every year to improve her recipe, not admitting that she succeeded every time in the best way.
The scent of flour, of sugar mixed with candied citron and orange peel, of the freshly opened tin of durum wheat… it warmed the atmosphere of home, of our home.
It reminds me of Frenesia, as if these thoughts of mine had been immersed in its fragrance, firmly convincing me that I could no longer do without it.
